The Mavericks desperately need Porzingis back who could return by the end of January. In the 2019-2020 postseason Porzingis had the 2nd highest PER on the Mavs (26.11).
More importantly than Porzingis, if the Mavericks want to make it out of the West, they desperately need a 3rd star.
If they want to win now they should do this trade: James Harden for 2 1st rounders, 2 2nd rounders, and Jalen Brunson.
If they want to create a dynasty they should keep all their picks (use them wisely) and sign big name free agents. In 2021 the free agents the Mavericks should be targeting include; Kawahi Leonard, Victor Oladipo, Kyle Lowry, or Blake Griffin.
