As I prepare to watch the Championship game on Monday I am upset the Longhorns weren’t able to make it this year. However, the future is bright as a longhorn.
The QB of the future is Casey Thompson and his performance in the Alamo Bowl was nothing short of spectacular. Thompson went 8/10 with 170 yards and 4 touchdowns when Ehlingher went down with an injury.
Bijan Robinson (RB) will win the Heisman next year. He had 86 carriers for 703 yards (8.2 avg) and ran for 183 yards in the Alamo Bowl. Just wait this kid is an absolute stud. We are also getting our star WR Joshua Moore back next year.
The incoming freshman class is spectacular as expected. Ja’Tavion Sanders DE is a 5 star recruit and will make an immediate impact on the defense. Other key additions to the defense include JD Coffey S (4 star recruit) and Jamier Johnson CB (4 star recruit). I am most excited to see Jaden Alexis WR (4 star recruit). We have a very explosive young team that will be a force in the Big 12.
Most importantly the Longhorns fired Tim Herman.
Tim Hermans replacement
Steve Sarkinsan the former offensive coordinator for Alabama. His offensive game plan was spectacular versus Notre Dame. More importantly he learned the Saban way and will bring the winning football culture back to Texas Football.
Hot take: the Longhorns will win a national championship before I graduate from college!
