Max’s Divisional Round Picks & Analysis

Saturday Games

Rams @ Packers (Rams +6.5) 3:35 CST

Rams to cover the spread. Packers to win the game. It will be a close game but Rodgers will win in the snow in Green Bay.
Against the spread records:

Rams: 10-7, Last 6: 4-2, Away: 5-4, Underdog: 4-2.

Packers: 10-6, Last 5: 3-2, Home: 5-3, Favorite: 8-5.

Green Bay is the number 1 scoring offense vs the Rams number 1 scoring defense.

Rams: 3D= 43%, 3DA= 35%, Penalties= 4.4/game, TOP: 32:01

Packers: 3D= 49%, 3DA= 39%, Penalties= 5.3/game, TOP= 32:34

League Rankings:

Rams: O (11), D (1), Rushing (13), Passing (10)
Packers: O (5), D (9), Rushing (9), Passing (8)

Final Score Prediction: Rams (13) @ Packers (17)

Ravens @ Bills (Ravens +2.5) 7:15 CST

I like the Ravens to win outright. The Bills leading rusher last week was Josh Allen and that will not fly against Harbaugh’s electric defense. Lamar Jackson is determined to make a Super Bowl run and he is fully capable of shocking the Bills on the road.

Against the spread records:

Ravens: 11-6, Last 6: 6-0, Away: 6-3, Underdog: 1-0

Bills: 11-6, Last 6: 5-1, Home: 6-3, Favorite: 7-5

Buffalo is 11-3 in home playoff games.

Ravens: 3D= 48%, 3DA= 34%, Penalties= 6.5/game, TOP: 31:30

Bills: 3D= 49%, 3DA= 39%, Penalties= 6.4/game, TOP: 31:45

League Rankings:

Ravens: O (19), D (7), Rushing (1), Passing (32)

Bills: O (2), D (14), Rushing (20), Passing (3)

Final Score Prediction: Ravens (30) @ Bills (24)

Sunday

Browns @ Chiefs (Browns +10.5) 2:05 CST

I like the Browns to shock the world and win outright. They beat the Steelers last week and they can beat the Chiefs if they hold the ball for longer and pound the running game. The Chiefs have allowed 122.1 rushing yards per game this year.

Against the spread records:

Browns: 6-10, Last 6: 3-3, Away: 4-5, Underdog: 3-3

Chiefs: 7-9, Last 5: 1-4, Home: 3-5, Favorite: 6-8

Andy Reid (KC) is 7-0 in career versus the Browns. It will be 7-1 after this weekend.

Browns: 3D= 44%, 3DA= 43%, Penalties= 6.3/game, TOP: 30:54

Chiefs: 3D= 48%, 3DA= 40%, Penalties= 6.6/game, TOP: 30:31

League Rankings:

Browns: O (16), D (17), Rushing (3), Passing (24)

Chiefs: O (1), D (16), Rushing (16), Passing (1)

Final Score Prediction: Browns (24) @ Chiefs (21)

Buccaneers @ Saints (Buccaneers +3) 5:40 CST

I like the Buccaneers to win this game outright. Brady is the GOAT and he is known for showing up big in big time moments. January is Brady’s favorite month to play and he is 5-2 vs Brees in his career.

Brady: 278.5 yards/game, 11 TD, 11 INT, 82.5 QB rating

Brees: 248.8 yards/game, 21 TD, 2 INT, 108.6 QB rating

Against the Spread Records:

Buccaneers: 9-8, Last 6: 4-2, Away: 4-5, Underdog: 2-1

Saints: 9-7, Last 6: 4-2, Home: 5-4, Favorite: 9-6

This is the closest game and hardest for me to predict, but I will take Brady over Brees every day.

Buccaneers: 3D= 43%, 3DA= 40%, Penalties= 5.3/game, TOP: 28:54

Saints: 3D= 44%, 3DA= 38%, Penalties= 6.1/game, TOP: 32:10

League Rankings:

Buccaneers: O (7), D (6), Rushing (28), Passing (2)

Saints: O (12), D (4), Rushing (6), Passing (19)

Final Score Prediction: Buccaneers (28) @ Saints (30)

Weather Report:

Rams @ Packers (33*F with 8% chance of snow)

Ravens @ Bills (35*F with 15% chance of rain)

Browns @ Chiefs (37*F with 7% chance of snow)

Buccaneers @ Saints (DOME)
