Do not trade for Deshaun Watson!!! The Texans are asking for way too much for him, the QB of the Jets is Sam Darnold. Keep the draft picks and build the team around Darnold he’s a good quarterback he just needs protection.
Do not draft a QB with the number 2 pick unless it is Trevor Lawrence.
Jets should draft Devonta Smith at 2 and give Darnold a receiving threat. With the 18th pick they should get protection (Sam Cosmi from Texas preferably). Cosmi and Bekton at Tackles is an amazing offensive line.
In the 2nd round the Jets need to get defensive help desperately. I suggest drafting Rodarius Williams CB at 34.
They have 2 picks in the 3rd round they need a solid linebacker and a running back. I suggest they draft Javonte Williams HB from North Carolina who can run through the tackles, pass block and catch passes (a true 3 down back). With their later pick they should either get the best LB available or Tylan Wallace WR from Oklahoma State.
The Jets have a lot of positions they need to fill but thankfully they have a lot of draft picks and a new culture with Salah as their head coach. What they CAN NOT do is trade their entire future for Deshaun Watson. Deshaun Watson will not succeed for the Jets if he has no supporting cast!
